With more than 15 years professional experience, Calin Carare provides legal assistance and litigation representation in matters pertaining to corporate law, competition law, real estate, IT & telecommunications, public acquisitions and EU structural funds.
Calin Carare has been involved in a number of successful M&A projects, from corporate restructuring, buyer due diligence, transaction negotiation to closure and regulatory clearance.
When required, Calin Carare has successfully represented clients in litigation or administrative challenge procedures against central or local public authorities, as well as private parties.
Relevant projects
1. Legal assistance and representation in the negotiation, conclusion and notification of the economic concentration of one of the largest economic concentration operations between operators of electronic communications networks authorized by the Competition Council;
2. Drafting legal due diligence reports (especially in the areas of companies` law, finance, real estate and litigation) and transaction assistance in several major acquisitions for the largest private medical services provider in Romania;
3. Legal assistance and representation before the Competition Council and the Bucharest Appelate Court for a food supplier in connection to the investigation on the retail food market;
4. Various litigations between private parties, from debt settlement and civil liability to labour disputes;
5. Various litigations with public authorities, such as the Ministry of European Funds, Land Book Office, energy regulatory authority (ANRE), the communications regulatory agency (ANCOM), the national agency for fiscal administration (ANAF) and others.
Education and professional qualification
As of 2021, Calin Carare holds an LLM degree in European Union Law from the Bucharest University Law Faculty.
Calin Carare has graduated from the Law Faculty within the Bucharest University and holds an LLB degree in law, as of 2008.
Calin Carare is member of the Bucharest Bar since 2009.
Calin Carare is a translator and interpreter authorized by the Justice Ministry for English-Romanian, since 2011.
